“Embracing God’s call to serve in the world, Mosaic advocates for people with intellectual disabilities and provides opportunities for them to enjoy a full life.”

This is Mosaic’s Mission Statement. As a part of our ongoing goal to advocate for the individuals we serve, we participate in outreach projects and events. am-cops

Executive Director, Anne Marie Negri-Budzinski and Community Relations Manager, Dean Giudice have spoken to more than 200 Fire Fighters, EMT’s, Sheriff and Police Officers in order to help spread awareness of situations that could arise when first responders encounter the population we serve. They have offered training and suggestions and personal assistance so that we may better protect the vulnerable in our community.

Several police and fire fighters have expressed a desire for ongoing outreach with our individuals starting this Thanksgiving. We look forward to facilitating a positive relationship among all parties.

Associate Director Bonnie Coates, Public Relations Specialist Danielle Miller and volunteer Carol Robison have also been a part of this outreach.

Career Days for Middle School Kids

Direct Support Manager, Amber Roundtree and Human Resources Manager, Cindy Vanett have been visiting area middle schools to speak to children about what it’s like to work for Mosaic. They also learn what it’s like to help individuals with intellectual disabilities and ask lots of interesting questions.

We will be able to reach more than 100 students at 5 schools now through February.
