Mosaic in Northern Indiana is pleased to name Antonette Frazier as the new Direct Support Manager of our Woodmont Avenue group home.
In her past six years with Mosaic, Antonette has gained experience working with individuals in our Meaningful Days Day Program as well as waiver home sites.
Like many people unfamiliar with working with people with intellectual disabilities, Antonette did not realize how much they were capable of before she came to Mosaic.
Now she says she realizes the abilities of those coined “disabled” and feels she is in the right place to help others reach their goals.
“I like how Mosaic works on goals for people and helps them live their lives fully. Other companies don’t do as much as we do. I like how caring everyone is here and that it’s a faith-based organization. The communication is open and you can always talk to your bosses about anything. My staff are very dependable and they help me a lot. I feel like I will retire from here,” she said.
As a direct support associate, Antonette helped take people to the doctor and take care of their homes. She went to church with them and took them on outings in the community. Now she hopes to fulfill one of Mosaic’s goals of inclusion.
“As a DSM, I hope to take the people we serve on more outings and connect to more people out in the community,” she said.
